
Brazilian Glazed Pineapple
Ingredients
- 3 cups brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 whole pineappple
- water add just enough to combine dry ingredients into a liquid
Instructions
Peel and Skewer the Pineapple:
- Peel the whole pineapple, removing the skin.
- Carefully skewer the whole peeled pineapple onto your Bacana Grill skewer.
Grilling:
- Place the skewered pineapple on the grill to cook.
Prepare the Glaze:
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and ground ginger.
- Add just enough water to the dry ingredients to create a liquid (the pineapple juices will add more liquid later).
- Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until well combined.
Transfer Glaze to Platter:
- Once the glaze is brought to a boil, transfer it to a serving platter.
Glazing:
- As the pineapple cooks, slice it into the glaze on the serving platter.
- Make sure each piece is well coated with the glaze.
