What Is a Churrasco Grill?

Churrasco is the Brazilian style of live-fire cooking where meat is skewered, slowly rotated, and basted over open flame. A true churrasco grill is designed for spinning skewers — not flat grates — allowing fat to self-baste the meat while it cooks evenly over real fire. Our Story…

20 years ago, I moved to southern Brazil and was introduced to churrasco—the traditional Brazilian cowboy way of grilling over an open flame with skewers. Not only was the food the best I’d ever had, it was so simple and fun! But more importantly, I noticed it brought people together. Every meal created moments and memories for everyone there. It was about more than just good food, it was the connection.

When I returned to the U.S., I realized there was no way to make authentic Brazilian BBQ. None of the grills here were able to do it. So I built it. A true Brazilian-style rotisserie grill designed specifically for skewers, live fire, and unforgettable gatherings.

That’s how Bacana Grills was born.
